La-Dana Renée Jenkins, Personal Career Developer™, is the Founder and CEO of LRJ Consulting Services LLC, a career development firm based in New York City, where her passion is helping her clients prepare for a career, not a job. With a professional background in human resources, sales and marketing, publishing, and public relations, La-Dana has been writing résumés and assisting individuals with their career development needs for over 14 years. La-Dana has contributed career development and financial education articles to Makin’ Moves, an online newsletter for Give ‘N Take Network, a barter-exchange network for women entrepreneurs and executives and published an article in the Ask the Expert section of the December 2005 Staten Island Business newspaper titled, “ Are You Ready to Work Your Business Full-Time? 5 Steps to Help You Transition to Self-Employment.” La-Dana has participated in a slew of workshops and professional development seminars, including, “Workshop in Business Opportunities” (WIBO), a 16-week boot camp for entrepreneurs, and “Millionaires in Training”, a wealth-building certification program. She has also volunteered her services to the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD), Bottomless Closet New York, a nonprofit organization providing career development services to women on public assistance, the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) career conference, Mothers Can Do It! job fair and Women For Hire career expo conducting career development workshops, critiquing résumés and providing interview preparation assistance.
